# Home

This is the official wiki for the Torrent Network of Minecraft servers.

The Torrent Network is unique and experimental. Each server has its own quirks and offers content like you've never seen. Our servers are highly developed, and you will find a friendly, welcoming community here. You will find lore beyond your wildest imagination, helpful and professional staff, a polished finish to all of our systems, and a place you can call home.

This network supports all major versions on Java, as well as the latest version(s) on Bedrock! Feel free to join our [discord](https://dsc.gg/torrentsmp)!

Server IP: torrentsmp.com\
Bedrock port: 19132

# Getting Started

The beginner's guide to getting started on Torrent Network.

The number one question any player joining the network will have is "what do I do?" The answer is really up to the player. This network recognizes two camps of players: those that wish to just play on their own and get to know the community and systems later, and those that wish to jump into the immersive gameplay the server offers. When a player joins Torrent, they will spawn in the hub. Use the server selector or the portals to switch your server. You can also use `/server survival`, `/server creative` or `/server lifesteal`.

## <mark style="color:blue;">**Survival**</mark>

**The Vanilla Experience**

For the players that wish to simply experience the vanilla-like gameplay Torrent offers, you can instantly get started at Spawn Academy. One portal randomly teleports you between 1,000 and 5,000 blocks away, while the Warp Menu allows you to travel around the server.. Don't worry, no matter which option you choose, you will be able to easily come back with `/spawn`. Another option is to use the warp to the Axél Village to build near other players.\
\
**Getting Immersed**\
\
Some players itch for new content, so we try to add unique features based on community input. In lieu of "seasons," we have "expansions," in an effort to never reset the world but not run out of content. There are lots of ways to get started, but I recommend first making a starter base; either using the random teleporter or finding a spot in or near a village, partnering up with others, or just venturing out on your own. Once your starter base is complete, it might behoove you to make some money using our [Economy](/survival/economy) guide.\
\
Whichever way you want to play on the server, I would highly recommend exploring it first. Start with exploring spawn, clicking on all the NPCs, and learning what commands you can run. A great way to explore the server is by using the Warp Menu.

## <mark style="color:green;">**Creative**</mark>

On the creative server, you will spawn into the world and see plots as far as the eye can see. To get started, simply find an unclaimed plot and type `/plot claim`. This wiki will be updated with guides on flags and commands once it's been set up properly. You can use `/plot home` to get back to your plot if you leave, and `/plot trust <player>` in order to give players access to build in your plot.\
\
Note: due to exploits and attempted crashes (mainly from Minehut players) this server requires you to purchase a rank or creative plot in our [webstore](https://torrent.tebex.io), or play on the other servers for a significant amount of time to earn a plot.

## <mark style="color:red;">**Lifesteal**</mark>

This server is a real challenge. If you die, you lose a heart, but you can kill a player to gain a heart. If you die and lose all your hearts, you are death banned for 1 day and will respawn with 5 hearts. You can also craft hearts. If you're eliminated, you can be revived with a revive crystal. This server has custom items, skills, advanced enchantments, a custom honor and reputation system, and much more.\
\
It is highly recommended to NOT accept any TPA requests to avoid getting trapped and killed by other players. It is instead advised to gear up, engage with our custom mechanics like fishing, and gain power on the server. Farming XP and opening crates, as well as adding advanced enchants to your gear, will significantly increase your power level. Overall, simply playing on the server to level up your skills, abilities, and gear, will greatly increase your chances of succeeding in PvP. However, nothing can account for pure skill. So get good!

# Commands

These commands can be run by all players. Some are specific to each server, while some are global.

# Global

Questions that have been asked regarding our whole network, Discord, and general inquiries.

### **What version(s) and edition(s) does the Network support?**

Pretty much all. You can join on Bedrock or Java, on almost any version back to 1.13, as well as console and phone. Check out this [guide](/how-to-join-on-console) if you're trying to join on a console and can't find a way to add a server.

### Is the server cracked?

No, nor will it ever be. I don't support piracy. Also, cracked servers usually have horrible security and potential vulnerabilities. It's a bad idea, through and through. Buy the game.

### **What mods are allowed?**

The allowed mods list can be seen in full by running `/guide` on any of our servers, or by running `!mods` in #bot-commands on the Discord server. However, an abridged list contains mini-map, mini-hud, performance mods like those that end in -ium, QuickCrafting and more. Any mod that doesn't give you a concrete gameplay advantage and/or trigger our anti-cheat to get mad at you is usually cool. However, mods/clients like Baritone, Meteor, Wurst, Toolbox, LB, and anything with combat hacks is not allowed. Furthermore, do not use anything with Jesus, click-tp, fly, nuke, or kill-aura. Use common sense here.

### **What difficulty are we playing on?**

On all servers, the difficulty is set to hard. This may turn some people off, I'm sure. Despite that, hard mode presents the most honest challenge and is the difficulty most players on the servers prefer.

### **Can I invite my friend?**

Of course. It's a public network. Invite as many people as you can.

### **How do I switch servers?**

In the hub, use the server selector in your inventory to open up a GUI and select the server you want to join. A short description of each server can be read when hovering over it. Click on the icon to join the server, or if you're on mobile, hold-press. On any of the back-end servers, use the command `/servers` to open up a menu to switch, similar to the server selector. Another option is typing out the server manually, like `/server Survival`.

### **Why can't I see the custom models on Bedrock Edition?**

This is a known limitation with resource packs. It's possible to make a Bedrock compatible resource pack, but the situation gets invariably more complex when using a resource pack manager, like we do. We hopefully will have both Java and Bedrock compatible models available in the future.

### **I keep timing out from the server. What gives?**

1. The server may be having a network issue. If that's the case, rest assured it's being fixed ASAP.
2. You may have packet loss. If you can connect to other servers just fine, you can't necessarily rule this one out. Something you can try: open up command prompt. Type `ipconfig /flushdns`, and press enter. You may also try restarting your router/modem.

### I got banned. What do I do?

If it was a temporary ban and you totally deserved it, just wait it out. If it was a permanent ban, you can appeal it in Discord using #create-a-ticket. If you come into the Discord whining in #general chat and don't make a ticket, don't be surprised if you end up losing your chance to appeal. Moderators are well trained but they are human, so if they make a mistake, please do your best to be patient with our process. We try to address tickets quickly.

If you make a ticket, explain in detail what happened and make your case. You are innocent until proven guilty, so a moderator will have to prove your punishment was justified. If your appeal is approved, you will be reinstated and the punishment will be removed, so that the escalation does not apply and punish you for longer.

### What modpack do I need to join?

No mods are necessary to join. In fact, our server software is based on Bukkit, so fabric and forge mods don't work on the server-side. Most client-side mods work just fine though. We usually don't take mod and plugin suggestions too seriously. We've been very deliberate about what content we've added and don't just go around adding random plugins for no reason.

### How do I apply for staff?

Make a ticket in #create-a-ticket in our Discord server. From there if you would like to have a more private conversation with the owner, JerichoTorrent, we can hop in a private VC. Staff applications are currently closed, but if a circumstance presents where we open them up, we will announce it to the community.

### Can you add this fabric/forge mod to the server?

No. This isn't a fabric or forge server, therefore it is incompatible with those mods. We also don't just add plugins that players suggest because often times, that player only wants it for some specific feature and isn't thinking about how that affects the game's balance or how the plugin is optimized. If you want a feature, suggest the feature, not some plugin or mod you think will enhance the server. You'd be surprised about the spaghetti code that gets popular on Spigot and CurseForge.

### Can someone help me?

[Don't ask just to ask](https://dontasktoask.com). Simply ask your question with the context necessary to help in your first message.

# Survival

Questions about the Survival server and its in-game systems.

### **How do I teleport, get back to spawn, TPA to my friend, etc.?**

On Survival, an emphasis is placed on real-world travel and our Districts. For this reason, we've disabled most teleportation commands and replaced them with NPCs. You can easily get back to spawn with `/spawn`, then use the Warp Menu to travel around the server. Spawn is a central hub for all traveling.

### **How do I make and spend money?**

Read our full Survival Economy guide [here](/survival/economy). In general, do quests, sell items with `/sellgui`, [vote](/voting), and get creative with our systems. Spend your money in the Shopping District at coordinates 0/0 or by traveling to the Shopping District and traveling out toward the T-Mart.

### **How do I start the main quest?**

Quests are currently being overhauled! Stay tuned!

### **Can I PvP?**

PvP is by consent only on Survival, by typing `/pvp`. You can't just go around killing players, or you may end up in [court](/survival/district-court), jail, or banned. I'm sure someone would be willing to PvP you, but if you are looking for a PvP server, check out [Lifesteal](/lifesteal/introduction).

### Where are all the elytras?

When you play on a Survival server with one long-running map like ours, elytras tend to be hard to come by. For this reason, every couple of months we reset the outer end islands. The end also has custom terrain, but that doesn't mean anything has changed about default end city spawns. You'll still be able to find the ships and elytras like normal. However, using a custom developed plugin by Nouish, you can only get 2 elytras per 2 week period to prevent hoarding.

The ONLY place where you can buy elytras is in the Auction House in the Shopping District at 44/63/33.

### How do I get back to my claim?

Sleep in a bed to set your spawn. To return to the bed, use the bed portal in the Teleportation Hub.

### Can I build a shop?

To build a shop in the Shopping District, first create a ticket in our Discord or ask an online moderator for help if they are available (don't pester them.) Second, provide your plan for your shop, whether that be a screenshot from a creative world, a showcase of your plot on our creative server, a drawing, or a detailed description of your shop idea. If approved, a moderator will give you a subclaim in the Shopping District to build it, as well as a permit.

# Creative

Questions about the creative server, its plots, and its worlds.

### **How do I get permission to claim more than 1 plot?**

Earn Builder rank. This rank is given to exceptional members of our server network. Display your building abilities, be active, and be a part of the community. Builders unlock plots in creative mode as well as access to the Torrent lounge in the hub.

You can also purchase a plot from our [webstore](https://torrent.tebex.io).

### **How do I claim a plot?**

In the world you spawn in, Artoria, you can simply double press the spacebar to fly. Then, fly out into the world and find an unclaimed plot. You will know it's not claimed if no title pops up on your screen indicating the owner and plot number. Then, type `/plot claim`. You will know you did it right if you are teleported to the origin point of the plot and a title pops up on your screen. You can set your home there with `/plot sethome`.

### **How do I build in a plot with my friend?**

Either you or your friend needs to claim a plot. Then, run the command `/plot trust <player>`.

### **How do I claim bigger plots?**

Buy plot tokens in our [webstore](https://torrent.tebex.io/category/creative-plots).

### **Why is it lagging?**

Creative servers are extremely hard to run. People try to hack them all the time with all kinds of nonsense. I have found many lag machines. I don't want to limit redstone because people mainly use this server to test builds, and especially redstone, so we just have to go remove them and ban people. For that reason, if you build a lag machine, you will get banned on the whole network. If you join the server and it's completely unplayable, report the issue in Discord and come back when it's fixed. Nothing much more we can do about it.

### Why did my plot get deleted?

Two possible reasons:\
1\. You misused your plot to spawn NBT items, create offensive structures, or build a lag machine.\
2\. You claimed your plot and didn't build a single thing for months doing nothing but taking up space.\
The first plot in Creative is free; don't misuse it or you will lose it.

# Lifesteal

Questions about our MMORPG Lifesteal server.

### **Is X-ray allowed?**

No.

### How do I get more hearts?

[Craft them](/lifesteal/introduction), buy a [heart crate key](https://torrent.tebex.io/package/6290037), or kill players.

### How long do I get death banned when I lose all my hearts?

1 day.

### How many hearts do I respawn with if I get death banned?

You will respawn with 5 hearts if your death ban expires, or if you get revived by the revive beacon

### **Can I grief, steal items from players, and socially engineer them into giving me their base coordinates so I can grief them?**

Yes.

### How often is KoTH?

King of the Hill runs every 2 hours.

### What's up with the percentage value when reporting players?

The honor value (integer) represents the total honor a player has, either positive or negative. For various reasons it's also easier to express it as a percentage, so in the GUI that is how it shows up. Every 2 honor points raises or lowers the percentage by 1. 0% means -100 honor, while 100% means +100 honor.

### How long will Season 3 last?

Season 1 lasted 5 months. Season 2 also lasted 5 months. Season 3 will likely last around 3-5 months.

# SkyFactions

Questions about the upcoming SkyFactions server, set to release on October 15th, 2024.

### Will SkyFactions have seasons?

No. It will be one long running season, with no plans to reset.

### How do I earn gems?

Conduct raids. You wager 1 gem to start the raid, with a chance to net 2 more gems if you win the raid. You can also trade gems with other players or factions. You can also mine runes in the Gem Mine.

### How do I earn runes?

Sell items to the Obelisk using the rune converter. You can also trade runes, and mine them from the Gem Mine.

### My Lord betrayed me/deleted the faction!

Tough luck. The risk you take when joining a faction is having a tyrannical Lord. You can overthrow the Lord by having a civil war.

### Can islands be griefed?

Yes, blocks can be broken and containers can be raided and defenses destroyed. The only way to keep your island completely safe is to upgrade it as much as possible.

### Can a friend help me build on my island?

No, only factions can collaborate on a single island. Your friend can visit you with `/island visit <player>`, but they cannot break or place blocks, nor raid containers. To collaborate with other players, start or join a faction.

### How do I buy/upgrade defenses?

Purchase defenses with Runes. You can earn Runes by donating blocks to the Obelisk in the Rune Converter. Upgrading them costs increasingly more Runes, and has diminishing returns using logarithmic expressions.

# Chat

A walkthrough of our chat channels and discord linking.

Our chat system is connected on all servers. It is formatted with your rank followed by your message. To ping a player so he hears an in-game notification sound, type `@<player name>`. By hovering over different parts of the chat, you can get more information about individual players, click to privately message, and more.

## **Channels**

On the network you can join one of 3 channels: server-specific (hub, survival, creative, skyfactions, or lifesteal) , global, or ranged. By default you will join the global channel automatically, but will join the other two channels in read mode. You can use `/channel` or `/ch` to select another channel to read or write in. Upon joining the creative or hardcore server you will automatically join those channels in read mode. You can also use `/channel` to leave a channel you don't want to read or write in.

If you want to leave a channel, do `/ch leave <channel>`.

## **Discord**

You can join our Discord server by typing `/discord` which will send you a link in chat. Once joined, you will be taken to the #server-rules channel. Go back to the Minecraft server and type `/discord link` if you wish to link your Discord account with your Minecraft account. This will allow you to send messages as your in-game player name from Discord. We often have important announcements, events, and community-building things that you will miss out on if you don't join the discord.

## Emojis

<figure><img src="/files/roTvaxXXjDnJG3XJYKZB" alt=""><figcaption><p>Cowboy emoji</p></figcaption></figure>

To use emojis, you can type `/emoji` or just type `:` and press "tab" to pull up the emojis options. You can select from the list and click tab again to complete it. There are also hidden unicode emojis! Find them :smile:

## **Chat Colors and Tags**

If you purchase a rank on our server, you will get access to varying levels of chat colors and formatting, as well as tags. Tags, otherwise known as nicks, are your way of changing your identity on the server with one command. Simply type `/nick <name>` to change your nick/tag. To open the color menu, simply type `/chc color menu`.

## Server Assistant AI

We do have some quirks with our chat that helps keep things less spammy and make sure people get heard. First of all, we have an AI chatbot currently set up on Lifesteal and Survival that will automatically detect questions from players. It is trained to detect when it's a legitimate question and not just players talking amongst each other. It is very knowledgeable about the servers and should *usually* answer your question correctly. For example, if you ask "how do I get back to spawn?" the assistant should answer something along the lines of "you can use `/spawn` or use an access point."

I go through and retrain the AI periodically if it says anything wrong or lacks a response for something it should answer. Special thanks to Kaludi for letting me use this amazing system!

## Chat Filter

Yes, we have a chat filter. Womp womp. We occasionally have had family friendly streamers on the server. They have a right to not have their audience see bad language, and we want them on our Network. Also, we are officially partnered with Minehut, so we have to have a chat filter. Don't try and "beat" the chat filter, or you'll get muted. I would appreciate if people could just *try* and be not toxic in the chat when I need them to behave, but there's not much one can do about that.

## More Features

By holding an item in your hand and typing `[item]`, you can display the item in a hoverable message that shows its properties. This can show the item's name, enchantments, attack damage, etc.

By typing `[pos]`, it will display your current coordinates in chat, bypassing the need to manually input them. This is great for asking for help or meeting up with other players.

You can post clickable links in chat, simply include the https protocol of the URL (`https://`) in your message. This is heavily moderated! Do not post unsafe links or advertise other services.

By typing `!` before your message, it will automatically send the message to the team chat, no matter which channel you are currently in.

Chat games coming soon!

# Voice Chat

How to use proximity voice chat on Torrent Network.

## Installation

To use voice chat on Torrent, install the mod Simple Voice Chat.

* From Modrinth: <https://modrinth.com/plugin/simple-voice-chat>
* From CurseForge: <https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/simple-voice-chat>

Drag it into your mods folder or install it directly with the Modrinth app, or your launcher of choice. Once installed, press "V" (the default keybind) to open the voice chat menu and configuration. Set your audio/input settings as you prefer and you're good to go! It's recommended to increase your volume input and output settings.

## How to Use Voice Chat

After confirming it's installed and working, you should see a microphone logo on your screen indicating that it's picking up your input. If you're on a gamemode where it's not working, or your microphone is not picking up, it will appear in red. To change your settings, press "V". You should now start hearing players near you who also have Simple Voice Chat, and be able to talk to them freely.

# Mail & Private Messaging

With our player-to-player communication system, you can easily chat with players, even if they aren't online.

## Mail

To send mail to a player, make sure you have an empty hand and then type `/mail new`. This will open up a book that you can use to write your mail. You can write your full message here and then click "sign". Write a title for your mail then click "sign and close". Your mail is now saved and you can send it to anyone. If you don't click "sign" and just click "done," your mail will be saved as a draft.\
\
To send the mail, type `/mail send <player>` (without the brackets) and the mail will be sent down the Torrent Datastream to another player, even if he is not online. This is an excellent option if you want to write a long email to a player that won't fit in a chat message, or if the player is offline.\
\
There is a known issue in which this system does not work on Bedrock edition. You can still use the old mail system by typing `/mail send <player> <message>`.

## Private Messaging

Using your typical commands like `/tell`, `/msg`, and `/pm`, you can send players private messages while both of you are online. The full string is `/pm <player> <message>`. To easily reply, type `/r <message>`. You will hear a pop once you receive a private message, and it will show up in the chat with a red prefix telling you who sent it.

You can also privately message someone simply by clicking on their name in chat.

# Discord

A description of our Discord server.

The Torrent Network Discord is the quintessential location for all in-game events, information, and chatting from all around the world. We post pictures of our builds and plans. We also just goof off and talk to ChatGPT and several other AI bots we have. The Discord is a lively community, so you should join even if you don't spend much time on the Minecraft servers. There are a ton of cool people in there that pop in and out.

Most discussions take place in #general, but people often pop into #minecraft-chat, where the chat is linked with all of the Minecraft servers simultaneously.

## AI Bots

You can talk to any of the AI bots in our Discord server by just pinging them and typing your message. However, only #off-topic and #bot-commands are where you can actually speak to them, to prevent spammy behavior. ChatGPT will actually automatically respond to some messages in these channels. You can also use `/imagine` to use our stable diffusion bots to generate AI images. By default, the images are 1:1 aspect ratio. We have several models you can pick from. Please don't spam these, because we have limited API calls each month. Lastly, the Torrent Master is a custom trained version of Mee6 that knows about the lore of the Network.

## Showcase

The showcase channels have been extremely misused in the past, but I think we've found a good balance now. #community-projects is for posting projects that the Torrent community is all involved with. #individual-projects is for posting projects that you yourself are working on alone. You can post pictures, plans, and information about any of your builds or ideas. However, make sure they're actually about or built on Torrent Network. Don't just use this as a place to advertise your social media or another server. Self-promotion is not cool.

## Events

We have events periodically that are posted both in the default Discord events tab at the very top left of the server, and #events. These events are anything from [Alien Invasions](/lore) to building events, or just a new project that is launching. If you don't join the Discord, you miss these events. Anyone can submit an event for approval in #create-a-ticket, which if approved, will be posted in this channel.

## Canned Responses

The Torrent Canned Responses system makes it easy to respond quickly to a frequently asked question. Prepend an exclamation point (`!`) to a valid tag to call for a canned response. Here is the current taglist: advertising, ask, bingo, claims, cracked, donate, elytras, evading, faq, giybf, join, map, mods, nohello, offline, online, paper, restart, shops, versions, vote, website, wiki.

# Voting

Voting for the servers is one of the quickest ways to make money and earn rewards, as well as support our servers.

Typing `/vote` will pull up a menu of voting sites that our network is listed on. Simply select a voting site and it will send you the link in chat. Click the link and it will pull up in your default browser. Once there, type your in-game-name as it appears on Minecraft and click vote. If done correctly, you will see your balance go up by $250 per voting site. You will also earn a voting point for each vote. If you're on Bedrock, remember to include the dot (.)\
\
You can spend your voting points in `/voteshop`. Currently, you can exchange voting points for the following rewards:

| Server             | Reward          | Cost              |
| ------------------ | --------------- | ----------------- |
| Survival/Lifesteal | Diamond         | 3 Voting Points   |
| Survival/Lifesteal | $10,000         | 10 Voting Points  |
| Creative           | Plot Grant      | 16 Voting Points  |
| Survival/Lifesteal | Mending Book    | 50 Voting Points  |
| Lifesteal          | Gem             | 50 Voting Points  |

* 10 vote keys
* 1 legendary key
* $10,000
* 5 diamonds
* 2 gems (Lifesteal and SkyFactions only)

# Skills

We have a complex skill tree system using a custom retranslation of the extremely popular plugin McMMO. It can significantly affect your experience. Click on one of the skills below to learn more.

# Anti-Grav Drive

The art of graceful movement in combination with your gravity defying implants.

Experience with Anti-Grav Drive is gained by taking fall damage, successfully reversing fall damage on, or successfully dodging attacks.

120XP per half heart of damage is gained when taking fall damage. Assuming no damage is being reduced, it can also be calculated as `(b - 3) * 120` where `b` is the amount of blocks fallen before taking damage. Any reduction of damage by use of hay bales, potions, enchantments etc. will reduce the amount of experience gained. If a kinetic reversal or Alcubierre Drive activation has been executed, you will gain 80XP per half heart of damage instead of 120XP. This calculation uses the damage that would have been taken if you had not reversed the fall damage.

Feather falling will double the amount of XP you earn from falling, regardless of its enchantment level. Keep in mind that feather falling will also reduce the amount of base damage dealt when you fall.

Dodging an attack will give 120XP per half heart of damage dodged. So, if you dodged an attack that would have dealt you 3 damage, it would give you 360XP. This effect is called Flow State.

## Kinetic Reversal

Kinetic Reversal is an active sub-skill with a passive component. It provides a chance to negate fall damage based on the player's **Anti-Grav Drive** skill level. At level 50, the player has a 50% chance to negate damage, or 100% if **Alcubierre Drive** is activated. The chance for success is scaled against the Anti-Grav Drive skill level in a linear curve. Every level increases the chance to roll successfully by 1%. Therefore, it will always trigger at level 100.

A normal kinetic reversal can be transformed into activating the **Alcubierre Drive** by sneaking while falling. Doing so will double the odds to use kinetic reversal and the amount of damage prevented.

<table><thead><tr><th width="76">Level</th><th width="155">Kinetic Reversal</th><th width="171">Damage Absorbed</th><th>Alcubierre Drive</th><th>Alcubierre Damage Absorbed</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>25</td><td>25%</td><td>7</td><td>50%</td><td>14</td></tr><tr><td>50</td><td>50%</td><td>7</td><td>100%</td><td>14</td></tr><tr><td>75</td><td>75%</td><td>7</td><td>100%</td><td>14</td></tr><tr><td>100</td><td>100%</td><td>7</td><td>100%</td><td>14</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Flow State

Entering Flow State will give you a chance of reducing incoming damage by half. For instance, if you are receiving 10 damage, you will only receive 5 damage when successfully flowing through the attack. You will never dodge an attack if the incoming damage would be lethal, this check is done before Flow State reduces incoming damage. Flow State also has a cooldown before it will award XP if the player recently respawned from a death.

# Philosopher's Stone

A cybernetic/Soul Affinity implant allowing you to upgrade potion brewing.

The coveted Philosopher's Stone increases your brewing capabilities including new, normally unobtainable potions.

## Nigredo’s Reaction

This reaction speeds up the brewing process, with a max speed of 4x at level 1000. This ability is unlocked at level 100.

## Rebedo’s Reaction

This reaction allows brewing of more potions with custom ingredients. Which special ingredients are unlocked is determined by your Rank. There are 8 ranks to unlock.

| Rebedo's Reaction Tier | Ingredients                                                                                                                                                                                               |

# Jekyll

The art of archery, Jekyll is advanced archery skills made manifest by ocular implants and drawing techinques.

Upon shooting players and mobs with your bow and arrow, you will level up Jekyll. There is a damage boost that scales with your level and the integrated skill to mesmerize your enemy during PvP. You can also retrieve some of your spent arrows after defeating an opponent. You gain XP by shooting and killing an enemy, be it mob or player.

## Artorius Vision

By activating your ocular implant, you do additional damage with your arrow shots. The bonus damage increases as your Jekyll skill levels up. Your bonus damage increases 10% every 50 levels, up to a 200% maximum.

## Mesmerize

By mesmerizing your opponent with your ocular powers (kind of like genjutsu in Naruto) you cause your opponent to look straight upward for a short time. A mesmerizing shot also deals an additional 4 damage (2 hearts worth with no armor toughness.)

## Ammo Recombination

By applying Soul Affinity to your spent arrows, you can recombine them back into your quiver. This is a passive ability, and only activates upon killing an enemy with your bow. The chance of this ability activating increases as you level up your Jekyll skill. This ability increases by 0.1% per level, up to 100% at level 1000.

# Artorian Axe Style

Learn the galaxy conquering axe style of the Artorian Empire.

Artorian Axe Style is the art of hacking your opponent with an axe. The ancient Artorian masters preferred great battle axes imbued with dark magic, but any axe will do. You can gain XP in Artorian Axe Style by defeating mobs and players with an axe. You can gain the natural effect of knockback and activate a bloodlust implant known as Berserker's Rage. You can also use this skill to break down your opponent's armor with gravitational magic.

## Gravity Well

This ability is an AoE attack similar to sweeping edge, but for axes. Your gravity magic will deal damage to other mobs/players besides your main target. You deal half the damage to other mobs that you dealt to the main target.

## Berserker's Rage

Activating your bloodlust implant allows your adrenaline output to spike, causing you to deal critical damage. Every 2 levels in this skill increases the chance of going Berserk by 0.1%. The skill causes 2x damage to mobs and 1.5x damage to other players.

## Artorian Axe Mastery

Master the ancient arts of the Artorian axe masters. This is a passive ability that will add additional damage to your axe swings. The bonus damage increases by 1 every 50 levels, up to a cap of 4 extra damage at level 200.

## Shatter Weakness

This ability has a passive chance to damage armor by overloading the output of your forearm implants. As you level up Artorian Axe Style, the damage will increase.

## Gravity Blast

This is the ultimate application of gravity magic. You have a 25% chance of applying Knockback II to your opponent, as well as additional damage, when using axes to fight.

# Antiquarian

The art of marring the landscape to find ancient treasures.

Your Soul Affinity can be used for more than just PvP. You can find epic, ancient treasures underneath the land of Torrent. With Antiquarian, you will find more treasures the more you level up your skill. By digging up certain materials with a shovel, you will level up.

Compatible Materials: Grass, Dirt, Sand, Clay, Gravel, Mycelium, Soul Sand, Snow

## Pulverizer

You have an implant in your hand that can connect to a shovel via Bluetooth. This implant turns your shovel into a Pulverizer, but requires Soul Affinity to activate. This effect triples your chance of finding ancient treasures and can also insta-mine compatible Antiquarian materials.

## Archaeology

Every possible treasure for Antiquarian has its own skill level requirement for it to drop, as a result it's difficult to say how much it is helping you. Just keep in mind that the higher your Antiquarian skill is, the more treasures that can be found. And also keep in mind that each type of Antiquarian compatible material has its own unique list of treasures. In other words you will find different treasures in Dirt than you would in Gravel.

# Angling

By imbuing a rod with Soul Affinity, you can increase your chances of finding epic treasures in the ocean.

Become a more efficient, successful fishing expert with Angling. Gain XP by catching fish.

## Artificer

Level Requirement: 10

This ability allows you to find treasure from fishing with a small chance of the items being enchanted. Every possible treasure for Angling has a chance to drop on any level. The rarity of the item determines how often it will drop. The higher your Angling skill is, the better your chances are to find better treasures. It is paired with **Soul Hunter** to also give enchanted items.

Each treasure is organized into one of six categories, increasing in tier:

* Common
* Uncommon
* Rare
* Epic
* Legendary
* Mythic

Your level dictates your percentage chance of getting any of the specified types of items. The higher your level, the higher your chance of rarer items.

## Tundra Angling <a href="#ice-fishing" id="ice-fishing"></a>

This passive skill allows you to fish in ice lakes! Cast your fishing rod in an ice lake and the ability will create a small hole in the ice to fish in. Pull once to melt through the ice. The hook will remain in the newly melted water.

## Catch Master <a href="#master-angler" id="master-angler"></a>

Level Requirement: 15

This passive skill increases the bite chance while fishing. When you've unlocked this ability, fishing while in a boat improves odds of catching a fish.

## Shakedown <a href="#shake" id="shake"></a>

Level Requirement: 15

This active ability allows you to shake items loose from mobs by hooking them with the fishing rod. Mobs will drop items they would normally drop on death. It is also possible to acquire mob skulls, which are normally much more difficult to obtain in survival mode.

Shakedown items off of mobs or players with your fishing pole.

On mobs this will damage them for 1/4 of their total health. This has an upper limit of 10 damage. This means that a Boss with over 40 health (20 hearts) will at most have 5 hearts removed every shakedown.

## Plasma Cutter <a href="#how-to-use-super-breaker" id="how-to-use-super-breaker"></a>

With a pickaxe in your hand, right click to ready your tool. Once in this state, you have about 4 seconds to make contact with Mining compatible materials, which will activate Plasma Cutter. This ability has a cooldown tied to the **Planet Cracking** skill. It triples your chance of extra items dropping and enables instant break on **Planet Cracking** materials, if you have a higher end pickaxe. With a crummy pick, this compares to haste.

## Supernova <a href="#how-to-use-blast-mining" id="how-to-use-blast-mining"></a>

With a pickaxe in hand, crouch and right-click on TNT from a distance. This will cause the TNT to instantly explode. Super Nova is an ability with a cooldown tied to the **Planet Cracking** skill. It gives bonuses when mining with TNT and allows you to remote detonate TNT. There are three parts to Super  Nova:&#x20;

## Nuclear Fusion

Increases the blast radius of Supernova. Levels up with your **Planet Cracking** skill.

## Nuclear Physicist

Decreases damage that YOU take from TNT explosions. This uses your knowledge of atomic energy to upgrade your implants to shield against the blast.

## Matter Synthesizer

The third part simply increases the amount of ores dropped from TNT and decreases the debris dropped.

# Soul Mending

Soul Affinity allows you to repair items by using the alchemical properties of your soul.

Repair tools or armor using the Soul Anvil. This anvil is an Iron Block, and should not be confused with the Vanilla Minecraft Anvil, or the Gold Block for Soulful Recombination. Place down a Soul Anvil and right-click to repair the item you're currently holding. This consumes 1 item on every use.

## Fabrication <a href="#how-does-repair-mastery-work" id="how-does-repair-mastery-work"></a>

Fabrication increases the repair amount. The extra amount repaired is influenced by your **Soul Mending** skill level.

## Soul Recombination <a href="#how-does-super-repair-work" id="how-does-super-repair-work"></a>

This is a passive ability. When repairing an item, it grants you a chance to repair an item with double effectiveness.

## Soul Fire <a href="#how-does-arcane-forging-work" id="how-does-arcane-forging-work"></a>

This passive ability allows you to repair items with a certain chance of maintaining its enchantments. The enchants may be kept at their existing levels, downgraded to a lower level, or lost entirely.

# Recombination

By recombining the elements of the loot you find in the world with elements from the Slate Dimension, you are able to synthesize new matter.

I would love to tell you all about these skills, but I don't know them! This section of the McMMO wiki doesn't exist. However, information about it was in their source code. I will add to this section as I find out more information. If you figure out this section and want to do a write up of it, email <staff@torrentsmp.com>

# How to Join on Console

This guide works across all consoles with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. You need to use the BedrockTogether app or change your DNS settings. This is all dependent on what console you have.

## <mark style="color:blue;">PlayStation</mark>

• Download the **BedrockTogether** app on mobile for IOS or Google Play. If Bedrock together doesn't work, you can try a paid app called MC Lan Proxy.

• Start the BedrockTogether app, where you will see "Connect" and an area to enter the IP and Port for your server. Your mobile device must be on the same network as your console.

• Enter the following into these fields:

* Server address: torrentsmp.com
* Port (leave default): 19132

• Then click the "Run" button to start the app. It'll work to route the connection to your Xbox or Playstation

• Open Minecraft on your console and navigate to the "Friends" tab, then locate the LAN section. The server will be displayed here

• You can now select the server to begin connecting. Once you're connected, you can then close the BedrockTogether app

## <mark style="color:green;">Xbox</mark>

Add `PlayTorrent` as a friend on Xbox. He is ALWAYS running a session of the server. You can simply join his game from your friend's list.

## <mark style="color:red;">Nintendo Switch</mark>

• On the home screen, navigate to "System Settings"

• Navigate to "Internet"

• Click "Internet Settings" and select your current network under "Registered Networks"

• Locate the DNS Settings option and select "Manual"

• Select the Primary DNS option and set the value to 173.82.100.84 if you’re in the US,

• Select the Secondary DNS option and enter 1.1.1.1

• Click "Save"

• Open your Minecraft application and click "Play" from the main menu

• Afterward, head towards the "Servers" tab and join any featured one displayed

• Once in-game, click "Connect to a Server" from the new menu that appeared

• Enter the IP and port of the Torrent Network

• Click the Add to Server List option and press "Submit" to begin playing on the server.

## Notes

• Changing your DNS settings will work on Playstation or Xbox as well. Depending on the user’s preferences, it may be easier to just make a one time change to your DNS settings. Third party apps are known not to work for Switch.

• On Windows and mobile devices, you don’t need third party apps nor do you need to change DNS settings. Simply click add server and type in the IP like normal.

# Lore

Torrent Network has had many significant lore-related events.

## Backstory

14,000 years before the Modern Era, the Ancient Builders were the ruling class of Torrent. They experimented with a magic known as Soul Affinity, opening a portal to another realm called the Slate Dimension. This led to an apocalyptic event known as the [Convergence](/lore/the-convergence). This time period is when Torrent Lifesteal Season 1 takes place.\
\
A race known as the Artorians played a significant role in the apocalypse. They went through a civil war at the time, and Artorius Prime went back to the Slate Dimension to their home world of Artoria. For 14,000 years they conquered other realms. Their attention finally focused again on Torrent when they discovered vestiges of Soul Affinity arising once again. This led to the Alien Invasion event, an epic tale of Torrent. This event was supported by the [Movecraft](/movecraft) plugin, in which real air-based battles were possible on the server.

## Alien Invasion

On November 26th, 2023, the Artorians invaded Torrent in their epic [Dreadnought](/movecraft#dreadnought) craft. The Dreadnought is a large vessel capable of traveling great distances at a slow base speed, but is also capable of achieving warp speed with its highly advanced Alcubierre drive. During the invasion, the Torrent Military Base was a target, and the Torrent Global Defense Agency sprang into action to defend the base.

<figure><img src="/files/weGvXDLNa0ZMclxfAE2G" alt=""><figcaption><p>The fabled Dreadnought</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/pX9ri2fDAjR7pq8wwxMK" alt=""><figcaption><p>Torrent Military Base</p></figcaption></figure>

There were two teams, Torrent and Conquest. Conquest was split into two forces: the ground team and Artorius Prime's personal guard detail. The ground team geared up in a small outpost near the military base. While the TDA was preparing for the invasion, the Conquest ground team invaded the base and attacked. An epic team-based PvP battle took place, and Conquest was getting the better of Torrent while the TDA was attempting to take to the skies in their fighter jets.\
\
Finally, the TDA was able to kill enough invaders to gain just enough time for a fighter jet to take off. JerichoTorrent flew the jet, in an effort to board the now encroaching Dreadnought. Upon boarding the Dreadnought, Artorius Prime himself was there waiting. Artorius Prime slaughtered JerichoTorrent, but due to a bug with the Movecraft configuration, JerichoTorrent's [grave](/survival/graves) was enough to disable the craft. This gave the TDA the advantage. They all boarded the craft and the battle of attrition had begun. Artorius Prime was defeated and the TDA had won.\
\
Now, the Dreadnought hovers above the Shopping District, and anyone with the [Overlord+](https://torrent.tebex.io/package/6216890) rank is trained enough to pilot it. The Torrent Military Base stands as a testament to the indomitable human spirit. This event marks a majorly significant point in history when the human fighters overcame the alien invaders. However, some alien remnants remain somewhere in the world of Torrent. Find them and destroy the vestiges of their invasion by checking out our [Quests](/survival/quests).

# The Convergence

The apocalyptic event that ravaged the world of Torrent before the player spawns.

Eons before the current era, a society known as the Ancient Builders ruled over Torrent. They lived in a feudal society, and a city lost to time flourished under King Jericho. This society practiced an ancient magic known as [Soul Affinity](/lore/soul-affinity). Jericho saw the great power in Soul Affinity and used it to open a portal to another realm: the Slate Dimension.\
\
The Slate Dimension is a strange, alien realm. Many worlds exist within the Slate Dimension, including the world of Haven. Havenites have a rich history, from ancient magic users to modern engineers and blacksmiths. The Havenites were the first to come through the portal, since the portal that appeared on their end was just out of the greater orbit of their world. A few months after its opening, the first Haven Vanguard came through the other side for an expedition.

Haven technology is a mix between artifacts of ancient magic, mostly lost to time, and the marvels of their modern engineering. They used this event as an opportunity to learn about Soul Affinity to discover the secrets of their own history. Among them was an outworlder known as Roth. Roth and King Jericho formed a partnership, and shared technology, language, and culture amongst each other.\
\
Eventually, another society became aware of the portal orbiting Haven: the Artorians. Their leader Artorius Prime was a tyrannical emperor. He is the very same character to later invade Torrent 14,000 years after the Convergence, during the [Alien Invasion](/lore#alien-invasion) event of Torrent Survival.

# Soul Affinity

The magic system on Torrent.

Soul Affinity is an aspect of ancient dark magic that led to the current state of affairs on Torrent. \~14,000 years ago, the Ancient Builders used dark magic excessively, experimenting with astral projection, frequency vibrational technology, and portal technology. These portals eventually led to the portal storm known as [The Convergence](/lore/the-convergence). Through those portals came the Artorians, as well as many other races from the Slate Dimension.

Soul Affinity has many applications, namely in our [skill tree](/skills). Your player character has cybernetic implants, the origins of which are unknown. These implants can be activated with Soul Affinity, which takes time, effort, and knowlege to upgrade. Through leveling up your skills, you learn applications of Soul Affinity that allow you to use your cyberware at full potential. In Season 2 of Lifesteal, Soul Affinity will be a major gameplay element beyond just PvP and PvE, but will actually determine where you can go and how far your ambition takes you, including new custom dimensions.

# Movecraft

The guide of the epic Movecraft plugin, a highly complex and flexible system of aircrafts, watercrafts, and weapons.

Movecraft allows us to build classes of moveable ships on the Network. This'll be a long guide so you may need to refer to it several times. Documentation on this plugin is quite disorganized so I've tried to condense the client-side of it to one page for simplicity. You can build ships out of only the allowed blocks; anything else on the ship will prevent it from flying or moving in water. If there is a block type you want to use and it's not included in the blocks list, open a ticket in discord. You also have to be aware of the engine, fuel, speed, and how to pilot it.

## **How to build a ship**

First, check the block list of the class of craft you want to create below. Build your craft and make sure you follow the minimum and maximum size requirements. It is also advisable to build it slightly above the ground, or in the water. Another necessary component is the required blocks, meaning a certain percentage of your blocks must be a certain material in order for the ship to move. These blocks represent flight or movement in water. Ships also have a fuel requirement, meaning you must have a furnace that is filled with fuel that the ship can burn to move. It's recommended to keep a chest nearby filled with fuel. Lastly, you must use redstone blocks as the engine, and a certain percentage of your ship must be redstone blocks to move it.&#x20;

\
Each of those components will be detailed below by class. In order to allow your craft to be detected as a legitimate craft, you must place a sign on the ship with the name as the corresponding craft type, then you click the sign to begin piloting it. If there are any errors in your craft's design, it will tell you in chat. If it's successful, it will tell you that you have successfully piloted the craft.

## **How to pilot a craft**

In order to pilot your craft you have 3 options: flying tool, commands, or signs. You may find that one of these options work best for you. I personally like using the flying tool in combination with commands. Our flying tool is flint. To pilot it using a command, simply use `/pilot <class>`

## **Flying with signs**

You can place signs on your craft that correspond to certain actions. The sign must be named exactly as detailed in this guide or it will not function as an actionable sign. Check out this [guide](https://github.com/APDevTeam/Movecraft/wiki/Control-Signs) on signs. If you do the signs correctly, you can click on them to do different commands. A requirement of any craft is a sign with the exact name of the craft.

The Ship is a good choice if you lack redstone, as it's not a requirement. It can be driven without an engine. It also doesn't have requirements of certain blocks other than the ones above. It also contains every wood type, so you can build a classic wooden pirate ship. The minimum size requirement is 100 blocks and the maximum is 10,000.

25% of this craft must be made of wooden planks, and 5% must be made of wool (for the mast.)

# Land Claims

The ultimate way to protect your land from griefers, thieves, and unauthorized trespassers.

Claiming land on the server is quite simple. Find a good place to get set up (read the rules on where you can build) and take out a golden shovel. With the shovel in your hand, right click two opposite corners of your intended claim. Congrats, your claim is now IMPOSSIBLE to grief!&#x20;

## How to Claim Land

<figure><img src="/files/ivuctCDC5xQo0aXPKygr" alt=""><figcaption><p>First corner</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/nWRZ4aSMRsVu4NTLFbVb" alt=""><figcaption><p>Second corner; claim is created</p></figcaption></figure>

If you wish to authorize access to your claim to other users, stand inside your claim and use one of the following commands:

<table><thead><tr><th width="200">Command</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>/permissiontrust</td><td>The highest tier; this gives a player full access to handle permissions in your claim</td></tr><tr><td>/trust</td><td>Allow a player to place and break blocks, access containers, beds, and redstone devices</td></tr><tr><td>/containertrust</td><td>Allow a player to access containers, beds, levers, and buttons</td></tr><tr><td>/accesstrust</td><td>Allow a player to access only beds, levers, and buttons</td></tr></tbody></table>

Remember to include the argument of the player's name after running the command. You can also subdivide your claim using `/subdivideclaim` and making a new claim within the claim. You can use the same commands above to give separate permissions for the subdivision. If you need to buy more claim blocks, you can use `/buyclaimblocks <value>`. However, you do accrue claim blocks over time. For the full list of commands, use `/commands`.

# Travel

Our unique system of travel on Torrent SMP.

## Warp Menu

<figure><img src="/files/CTe9aihHvU3JIPh4QNt1" alt=""><figcaption><p>Warp menu at spawn</p></figcaption></figure>

At spawn, click on the Enderman NPC labelled "Warps". From there, you can select between worlds or landmarks. You can teleport to the Nether, End, and Flatworld.

### Bed Warp

<figure><img src="/files/j4AqJ2Nqd5W2lvqzI5G1" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Bed Warp</p></figcaption></figure>

Once you get your start on Torrent SMP, make sure to set your spawn in a bed ASAP! Until you set up a [nether highway](#nether-hub), or manage to get your base listed on the warp menu, this will be your primary method of travel back to your base if there's nobody online to TPA to. We do not use `/home` to ensure the closest we can get to a Vanilla feel with all of our extra-game content, so this is a necessary compromise to ensure a smooth gameplay experience.

## Flatworld

The Flatworld is a WIP world containing custom mobs and a wide open area for exploration. There are 8 total layers: 4 dirt and 4 stone beneath the surface. All mobs are enabled except for slimes. All structures are enabled except strongholds, which means it's much easier to find generated structures like trial chambers in this world. It's recommended to be a decently high level, so take heed!

## Landmarks

There are many landmarks on the server that can be warped to from the Warp Menu. This includes Clockwork City, Trident Town, the Hobbit Hole, and much more. Much of these landmarks were built by players on Torrent SMP, and gained enough notoriety and attraction to be turned into a server warp. These warps were previously located in our proprietary Teleportation Hub.

{% hint style="info" %}
For a player base or district to be turned into a warp, at least one half of the staff team must vote for its addition. Create a ticket in our Discord, and give us the coordinates and screenshots of the area. Sell the potential warp's features to our staff!
{% endhint %}

## Nether Hub

<figure><img src="/files/7VSrkG97MZtFf4XL6Y8F" alt=""><figcaption><p>Nether Hub</p></figcaption></figure>

At coordinates 0/0 on the Nether Roof, you can find the Nether Hub. Many pathways, ice boat roads, rail lines, and other modes of travel branch off from the Nether Hub as the central node in the highway system. You can see the highway system in its full glory on the [live map](https://map.torrentsmp.com/#quantum_nether_roof:128:0:-96:1500:0:0:0:1:flat). To make a portal to your base here, first note down the coordinates of your base and divide them by 8. This will be the coordinates for your nether portal. You can even use a [nether portal calculator](https://maximumfx.nl/portal/en/) to do so.

Build your pathway, rail line, or ice boat road bridging off from an existing road if needed, ensuring easy travel back to the Nether Hub. Congrats! You now have an easy and quick way back to your base.

## Other Modes of Travel

* You can use `/tpa` to send a teleport request to other players
* You can use `/tpahere` to request a player to teleport to you
* You can use `/tpaccept` and `/tpdeny` to accept or deny a teleportation request
* You can use `/mail new`, write a request to build a teleportation chamber using catstone (proprietary) or ender pearl statis chambers (fully Vanilla mind you) and use `/mail send kiokugames` to get our chief redstone engineer on the case.
* You can use the Random Teleporter at spawn to go to a random location

# Economy

The economy is a unique system to inspire players to trade, start businesses, and pay for services.

The economy is, perhaps, the most complex system on the server, so I would recommend reading this guide in full. We will begin by discussing a few ways to make money, how trading and selling items is facilitated, and what you can do with that money.

## **How to Make Money**

You can use `/sellgui` and drag and drop items from your inventory into the menu. Upon closing it or clicking the nether star, any eligible items will be sold, and any ineligible items will be returned to your inventory. You can also earn money by [voting](/voting). Each vote is worth $500, and you can also trade voting points for money using `/voteshop`.\
\
Another thing a lot of players do is offer their services to others. Players make posts in #looking-for about items or services they need. You can claim these bounties by talking in a thread and fulfilling your end of the bargain. People will also offer or make requests in chat to see who is available to make a trade. A great place to meet and trade is at Spawn or the Nether Hub. Finally, you can create a shop, which requires approval from staff.

## How to Make a Shop

In order to create a shop in the shopping district, you need to apply for a permit first. You can find the permit office in the Shopping District just to the left of the main warp, at 25 Main Street. The process of applying for a permit looks like this:

1. Purchase a book & quill from the shop inside the Permit Office, or alternatively bring a book & quill from your base.

<figure><img src="/files/97hDW7TlxbT7RLFT2Zge" alt=""><figcaption><p>Permit Request Shop</p></figcaption></figure>

2. Write up your permit request including:

* The architecture of the shop you intend to build, for example: A modern building made of white concrete and andesite, 3 stories, with a flat stone roof.
* The items you want to sell in your shop. Please limit it to like-items; meaning, items that are similar to each other in nature or theme.
* Where you intend to build the shop; in the Shopping District, or somewhere else in the world.

3. Place the permit request in the hopper in the Permit Intake Station. Wait for an in-game mail from a Permit Office Board Member.

<figure><img src="/files/HxC2uItN0DllYc2MSte2" alt=""><figcaption><p>Permit Intake Station</p></figcaption></figure>

## **Where to Spend Money**

The primary place to spend your money is the shopping district. It's located around x:0 / z:0. To buy something in a shop, click on the chest and it will pull up a GUI. Select the button to either buy 1 item or a stack of items. Some shops allow you to sell items back to them, especially the Stone and Ore shop which has flash sales often. This will usually net you a lot more money than the SellGUI will. \
\
If you want something specific, or need a service rendered, make a post in #bounties and see if anyone takes you up on it. You should post your request, a description of what you need, and the payment for completion of the request. To pay someone directly, use `/pay <player>`. This is a great way to get involved with the community. Some players make a name for themselves doing services for others and even start businesses using their specific niche, like Kiokugames or Kishku7, the redstone engineers.

## Auction House

On Survival, Auction House is a physical location. It is located at 44/63/33 in the Shopping District. You can sell an item from anywhere by holding it in your hand and typing `/ah sell <sell price>`. For example, I want to sell a sword, so I hold the sword in my hand and type `/ah sell 1000` to list the sword on the AH for $1,000. Players can visit the physical auction house and buy the sword.

To cancel a listing, visit the AH and go to your profile (your head icon.) Click on "Listings" and click on the listing to remove it. Don't worry, it isn't gone for good. It will show up under "Expired Listings." Click on it to redeem the item.

<figure><img src="/files/en53fFaXIksKrW3sWNGQ" alt=""><figcaption><p>Auction House</p></figcaption></figure>

# Quests

The RPG aspects of the server.

## Prologue

To get involved with the RPG mechanics on Torrent SMP, you have two options:\
1\. Type `/quests` and view the quest menu. Certain quests you can start from here and even read the dialogue. Some quests cannot be started from the menu, including the main questline.\
2\. First you will want to talk to the Torrent Recruiter in the shack just behind you when you spawn into the SMP. From there, head to the Quest Emporium at x:75 / z:-30 and go inside. There, you will find the Torrent Contractor, who can give you your first quest "Travelin' Torrent." This quest is a great introduction and a tour of sorts across the server. After finishing this quest, go into the back room to start the main quest.

<figure><img src="/files/kFvLMoRplhG3kspAdU0C" alt=""><figcaption><p>Torrent Recruiter, just behind the Spawn Rotunda</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/fwMeZpiEewWHVuITKAqB" alt=""><figcaption><p>Torrent Contractor, in the Quest Emporium in the Shopping District</p></figcaption></figure>

## Main Questline

The Torrent SMP Main Questline consists of two interconnected stories that eventually link together in an epic synthesis of events- driven by your gameplay. You can play both questlines concurrently, but at a certain point in either questline you will reach a point where there is unfinished business in another quest, and you will be directed to start the other questline before continuing. The first thing you should do after completing the Prologue, is go to the Quest Emporium (location of the Torrent Contractor) and go in the back room. Speak with the NPC Direnni and you will be given your first Main Quest.

<figure><img src="/files/N7ZERFL1K1wegGBL4KTS" alt=""><figcaption><p>Direnni</p></figcaption></figure>

# An Off Request

Make contact with Outpost C, an installation teetering on destruction after an attack from unknown hostile entities.

Your first quest is quite simple. Travel to X -1364 Z 1073 in the overworld. There you will find the NPC Jonathan, who distrusts you at first due to your unknown origins. He explains that they have been gathering information about hostiles. To complete this quest, simply click on him to talk, then click on him again to start his own quest.

<figure><img src="/files/ErdvTLjOwNnKxmyeOaBz" alt=""><figcaption><p>Jonathan</p></figcaption></figure>

# Unlikely Meeting

The simplest quest you will ever complete.

Literally walk 5 blocks and talk to Tom. That's it. Click on him again to start his quest. Tom will apologize for his boss's rudeness, then send you to test your mettle by asking for some charcoal.

<figure><img src="/files/VCJDjSOG0iksYksRSrAS" alt=""><figcaption><p>Tom</p></figcaption></figure>

# Into the Field

Your first actual task in the Clockwork Questline.

After talking to the Outpost C team, you will be sent to go gather charcoal to power their local mining operation. You can easily complete this quest by hacking down some trees and using one of the nearby furnaces to smelt 10 logs into charcoal. Keep this charcoal in your inventory when you go back to talk to Tom.

<figure><img src="/files/2L7ZeScIRuYpCMwOBM0U" alt=""><figcaption><p>Go out from the Outpost shack and turn left to find some furnaces.</p></figcaption></figure>

Your next task is to collect 25 oak logs. This will present you with a moral conundrum. Do you replant the trees for the next player to come along to do the quest, or do you just let the saplings despawn? This is very reminiscent of the [shopping cart theory](https://www.keithsobus.com/blog/shoppingcarttheory).

Once you gather the oak logs, return to Tom to complete the task. He will comment on how useful this will be to the mining operation. He will redirect you to Jonathan who will want to talk to you about your next task. Notice how they keep calling each other the boss? Nobody wants to take the responsibility for this operation.

# Into the Dark

Head deep into the ruins subsection to learn more about the Clockwork City.

Jonathan will send you to the ruins of the Old Clockwork City to collect an essential power source: blaze rods. The location to enter the ruins is directly West from Outpost C. The coordinates to the entrance are `-1442 / 87 / 989`. Once you enter the subsection, head deeper into the city and avoid going into caves; stay in the main structure. You will eventually reach a wide open cavern with a sand floor. Head through the ruined piston doors and take a right. This will lead to a broken down elevator shaft. Jump down into the water below.

<figure><img src="/files/MAF9zQ38KQ05QpbUFsq8" alt=""><figcaption><p>The elevator shaft to Clockwork Mining and Production.</p></figcaption></figure>

Head into Clockwork Mining and Production and you will eventually come across a copper labyrinthian structure. Inside you will find a blaze spawner where you can farm them. Get 5 blaze rods and head back up to Outpost C.

<figure><img src="/files/4HoGwz6jYPXuwihWwLKJ" alt=""><figcaption><p>Head inside this room to farm blazes.</p></figcaption></figure>

After completing the task, head back up and talk to Jonathan. He will thank you for your service and send you yet again back into the mines. You were yearning to go back there anyway; don't complain. This time, you're searching for an altar with important knowledge. To find it, head back toward the large underground biome in Old Clockwork City. Head into the cavern and take a left, past the buildings and into the overgrown cave.

<figure><img src="/files/c5Jjh3gZx4vSb7SbOCW6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Head past the cherry leaves and straight back.</p></figcaption></figure>

At the altar, you will find a book: Tinkerer's Scrap #47. After finding the book, you can read it, but don't bother trying to pick it up. Simply finding it is enough.

<figure><img src="/files/s9EPQL3b2xsc19PuNSBb" alt=""><figcaption><p>The altar</p></figcaption></figure>

After gaining the knowledge, head back to Jonathan to debrief him of your findings.

The final mission for this quest is to find Terra Nova, an eccentric character with vast knowledge of ancient history, magic, and Clockwork City itself. His coordinates are `-2035 / 79 / 1562`. Find him, and continue moving forward.

<figure><img src="/files/1AsGRoDPUPjdNnF1Nhi5" alt=""><figcaption><p>Ezo Peaks</p></figcaption></figure>

Head into Ezo Peaks, into the hobbit hole and you will find Terra Nova. Speak with him and complete the quest. Click on him once more to begin the quest "Hermit's Request."

<figure><img src="/files/EGDRuaBxLaGSqWqflEg6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Terra Nova, a kooky old geezer.</p></figcaption></figure>

# Hermit's Request

In order for Terra Nova to help you, you must prove your worth.

Terra Nova's old friend, the Tinkerer, seems to be up to no good. In order to breach his effective defenses, Terra Nova informs you that you need a stronger method of teleportation than they have available. To get their machine up and running, you will need to gather 15 amethyst shards. How you go about doing that is up to you. Maybe you will want to check the shopping district?

If you get lost, you can find Terra Nova again by heading due Southwest from coordinates `0/0`. Return to Terra Nova and give him the amethyst. He will inform you of his compatriot, Drath, who has departed to the Enderlands while Terra Nova was waiting for your return. The Enderlands is easy to find, but the Outpost is not necessarily hiding in plain sight. Return to spawn or head due North from Trident Town. Heading further Northwest will take you to the Outpost. The approximate coordinates of the entrance are `56 / 89 / -3009`.

<figure><img src="/files/59s1MK7BZaCSEqwScJpr" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Entrance to the Outpost in the Enderlands.</p></figcaption></figure>

Talk to Drath to complete the quest. Click on him again to start the next one, Kemel-Ze.

# Kemel-Ze

Find the Prototype in Kemel-Ze.

Travel down the ladder chute into the Kemel-Ze facility and you will find the factotum prototype. His location is `20 / 64 / -3058`. Take note of the factotums; they will be important later. Simply talking to him will complete the quest. Click on him again to start the quest "Delve Deep".

<figure><img src="/files/CPkEUhB22ujDS98gVMok" alt=""><figcaption><p>Prototype factotum</p></figcaption></figure>

# Delve Deep

Delve deep into the Kemel-Ze facility, to turn on the main power source.

Click on the factotum prototype again to start this quest. He will boot up into maintenance mode and fail a diagnostic check, returning to a sleep state awaiting a power source. You can reboot him by gathering more blaze rods (5.) If you kept the extra blaze rods you got from Old Clockwork City, you can complete this quest quickly. If not, you may need to head back to get more, or find them in the nether. Once you reboot the factotum prototype he will start playing a cryptic log for you.

The log will play regailing you of a story about interdimensional travel, and mentions a certain space station. Specifically, it tells you about a rift to the core of the multiverse and a key to which that lies in the Kemel-Ze laboratory. The prototype will go back into sleep mode, requiring you to turn on the system's main power source deeper in Kemel-Ze. Go to `56 / 64 / -3122` and flip the lever to turn on the main system power. Be careful! Not all of the factotums are friendly automatons.

Head back to Drath to complete the quest, up the ladder and to the right. Click through his dialogue to start the quest "Survival."

# Survival

You have unfinished business with Terra Nova.

Head back to Terra Nova to start this quest. If you forgot his location, he is still at `-2035 / 69 / 1562`. Talk to him to complete this quest. This may be a long journey so you can cut it in half by running `/spawn`. You can then head to the closest structure to those coordinates in the Warp Menu.

Click on Terra Nova again to start the next quest, To the City.

# To the City

Finally, it's time to travel to Clockwork City.

Talk to Terra Nova and he will collect your materials from you (not really, but just imagine.) He will inform you that the teleportation array is up and running. Simply turn around and walk straight underneath the structure before you. It will then teleport you to Clockwork City. Don't be fooled, this is only the beginning of your journey.

Continue forward to talk to the Precursor, another factotum built by the infamous Tinkerer. Talk to him to start the quest "Far from Home."

# Far From Home

Find Numinar in Clockwork City.

It's time to get your bearings in Clockwork City. This place is dangerous and difficult. There are many factotums patrolling and protecting the area from intruders. You may need to gear up and come back later if you're under-geared. Take note of the location if you choose to do so. If you choose to ignore the warning, continue forward.

You are searching for Numinar, a resident of Clockwork City. He can be found straight back from where you teleported into the city. Eventually, you'll come across a piston bolt network. Take the piston bolt to the left. Here presents another Shopping Cart Theory situation. Do you put the minecart back in the chest when you get to the end?

<figure><img src="/files/GYAKEUQvrFAmVpQSZm6M" alt=""><figcaption><p>Piston Bolt Network</p></figcaption></figure>

Go straight from the piston bolt network exit and continue into the town square. Be careful not to enter the Teleportation Array, but if you do, simply take the warp to Clockwork City from spawn.&#x20;

In the rear oxidized copper building straight back and on the second floor, you will find Numinar. Talk to him to complete the quest.

<figure><img src="/files/12y7CBjDuTLEppDMLnoR" alt=""><figcaption><p>Numinar</p></figcaption></figure>

Talk to Numinar again to start the quest "Greasing the Gears."

# Greasing the Gears

Find the unscrupulous Thrash in the local tavern.

Head out of the City Hall and take a right, down the stairs. You will come across this building:

<figure><img src="/files/eWT4P0omIMOL8nGmGeJH" alt=""><figcaption><p>Tavern</p></figcaption></figure>

Head inside and turn left. There you will find Thrash, drinking himself into a stupor as always. Talk to Thrash to complete the quest. Click on him again to start the quest "Sent From Above."

# Sent From Above

Get a real mission from Thrash (surprisingly) and discover the secrets of the Up Gate Station.

While talking to Thrash you will come to realize he is not really a drunk, and knows a lot more than he's letting on. He will send you to go buy some blaze rods from the Store Clerk. Don't worry, you can put it on his tab. Turn right out from the tavern and go back up the stairs. Head straight past the teleportation array and go into the building on your right, the General Store. The Store Clerk will sell you the blaze rods and you'll be on your merry way.

<figure><img src="/files/YXeZ0foyjceq2hZoJkIs" alt=""><figcaption><p>General Store</p></figcaption></figure>

Go back to Thrash and he will give you a real mission. It turns out he's an experienced contractor and has been hiding his skills behind the bottle. He sends you to go speak with Alice, who runs the Upgate Station in the Radius of Clockwork City. This location is the main forum near where you teleported into the city. Head back up the stairs and take a right. Continue going straight until you get to the piston bolt and take the return network.

Go straight from the piston bolt to the very end of the open section and go into the last room on the right. There you will find the Upgate Station.

<figure><img src="/files/Gp2iUw2TA52bJFV8qyIA" alt=""><figcaption><p>Upgate Station</p></figcaption></figure>

Go inside and take a left to meet Alice. Her exact coordinates are `17434 / -3 / 4574`. Talk to her to complete the quest. Talk to her again to start the quest "What's Up Gate?"

<figure><img src="/files/i4Ih8InsuTcrM1ryAnGa" alt=""><figcaption><p>Alice</p></figcaption></figure>

# What's Up Gate?

Teleport to the old Clockwork City and find the mad scientist.

After talking with Alice, go to the next room and go around the deepslate wall into the teleporter. Step inside and let it do the rest. Simply using the teleporter will complete the quest. To continue the story, go out from the first room and take a left. Go inside the Redstone Labs. There you will find Masscroft and his experiment. His exact coordinates are `-1324 / -50 / 1089`. Speak with him to start the next quest, "Into the Deep."

<figure><img src="/files/jZjj4Sk5WEXLU5j36Qso" alt=""><figcaption><p>Masscroft</p></figcaption></figure>

# Into the Deep

Find the mad scientist's notes about the chronographers.

After speaking with Masscroft and getting slandered, head deeper into the Redstone Labs. There you will find the scientist's notes in a lectern. Click on them and read them quickly, as the Upgate Station will receive your return signal within 10 seconds. The exact coordinates of the notes are `-1331 / -50 / 1174`. Once the return signal is received, you will be teleported back to the Upgate Station.

Speak with Alice once more to start the quest "Return."

# Return

Speak to Numinar in the City Hall.

Return to the Clockwork City town square to speak with Numinar. If you don't remember how to get there, head straight from the Upgate Station and past the Clockwork City Radius. Watch out for fabricants and other mobs on your way there. Continue until you get to the piston bolt network and go left.

Go straight from the piston bolt, past the teleportation array, and into the oxidized copper building at the end: City Hall. Numinar is on the 2nd floor. Exact coordinates: `17075 / 3 / 4764`.

Talk with Numinar to complete the quest. Click on him again to start the quest "More Questions."

# More Questions

Head to the Sky Planning Center in the Clockwork Radius.

Yet again, head to the Clockwork City Radius. You should have the hang of it by now! If you don't, head East toward the piston bolt network. Take the piston bolt back and go straight. The Sky Planning Center is on the left if you're heading East. Head inside and meet the Analyst. His location is `17356 / 12 / 4465`.

<figure><img src="/files/2FcM5Wlztq252B83fL43" alt=""><figcaption><p>Sky Planning Center</p></figcaption></figure>

Talk to the Analyst again to start the quest "The Analyst."

# The Analyst

Find out the truth of the Tinkerer's motivations.

The Analyst will not reveal his information for free. He will require a diamond as payment for his knowledge, simple may it be. Go and find a diamond. Buy it, trade it, mine it; whatever you have to do. Come back once you have it and give it to the Analyst.

Once you've gathered the necessary information about the Tinkerer, head back to Numinar. He is still going to be in the City Hall in the Clockwork City town square. Talk to Numinar to complete the quest.

Talk to Numinar again to start a short quest "World Fracture."

# World Fracture

Talk to Alice at the Upgate Station about your disconcerting findings.

This quest is quite short. Head back, yet again, into the Clockwork City Radius. Dodge and weave the fabricants and head inside the Upgate Station. You should know where it is right now. If you don't, refer to [What's Up Gate?](/survival/quests/clockwork-questline/whats-up-gate) Go inside the Station and talk to Alice and tell her of your discoveries. This will complete the quest.

<figure><img src="/files/9vxwm5w6CXcsE3CxCsf9" alt=""><figcaption><p>Alice</p></figcaption></figure>

Talk to Alice again to start the quest "Invasion."

# Invasion

An invader has stolen the core. It's time for a real battle.

Head out into the Radius and head West. You will come across a grassy area to the South. Head underneath the archways into the Garden. That is where you will come across the alien invader. This is a hard-fought battle, so make sure you are properly geared up. Once you defeat the alien, head back to the Upgate Station in the Radius.

After talking to Alice again, you will get an epic reward: the Chronographer Visor. This piece of technology can be worn like a helmet and will let you look directly at endermen without drawing their hostility, without losing visibility at all.

<figure><img src="/files/Vs3BJSA0inM27a7uksa3" alt=""><figcaption><p>Chronographer Visor</p></figcaption></figure>

Alice will tell you to go the library to gather text or talk to a factotum. Head back to the town square from the Radius. Go North from the intersection with the teleportation array. Then, go inside the Library. You need to talk to the Librarian, whose location is `17114 / -3 / 4712`. The Librarian will play a log for you about the World Shaping Device.

Return to Alice with the information you have learned. Alice will urge you to go back into the Upgate and it will teleport you to the under construction. Upon teleportation, you will complete the quest. Talk to the CCS in the under construction to start the quest "Answers."

# Answers

Finally.

Talk to the CCS to start the quest. The CCS will scan you to determine your threat level, which is moderate. Set your spawn in the nearby bed at once. It will deploy defenses that you need to fight against to finally find the answers you seek. Head West (straight) and you will fight several factotums. As you continue to fight through the factotums you will eventually find the questline's main boss: the Imperfect. This is a TOUGH fight. It is recommended you take golden apples and netherite armor to the fight, or you may get demolished.

After defeating the Imperfect and the many factotums, continue heading West and you will eventually find the tinkerer's fragment. He will give you the best bit of lore in the form of dialogue in the entire story. Pay close attention to his words. Once complete, he will give you an epic final reward and send you back to Spawn Academy.

Congratulations! You have completed the Clockwork Questline! Thank you for playing. I hope you had an amazing time. Special thanks to Kiokugames for writing and implementing these quests.

# Codex

Your personal journal on the server. Unlock discoveries to expand it.

<figure><img src="/files/jW8IMOhnE4NED4f6IVj9" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Codex</p></figcaption></figure>

## Categories

As you explore the world, complete quests, raid dungeons, and pass certain thresholds of progression, more and more of the codex will be revealed. Think of the codex as your player's journal. Some of it may be written in first person, and some of it will include primary source lore bits you discover from entering certain regions or encountering certain mobs. The codex is split into 5 categories.

### World History

As you enter key locations, complete quests, and meet NPCs, you will uncover the history of Torrent SMP which will be displayed here. This could include lore about the regions you discover, events that took place on the server, and more.

### Regions

Each major region on the server has a codex entry associated with it. Think of this as your character summarizing the lore and primary source documents you find in the region, combined with that with which the rumor mill uncovers.

### Monsters

Every time you encounter a new custom monster, a codex entry will be revealed to you about the monster. This includes its drops, strengths and weaknesses, and health. You can use these entries tactically to plan your strategy against monsters of this type.

### NPCs

Each NPC you meet has their own backstory and goals. As you continue to do quests and meet NPCs, more and more of the codex will be discovered. Some NPCs have relationships with others, and your relationships with these NPCs will change over time. Make sure to check their codex entries before making difficult decisions, as the psychology and backstory of these characters are important.

### Quests

The quest menu, `/quest`, summarizes dialogue and quest descriptions. This section of the codex is more like your personal quest log. This will go into detail about each quest and the characters you met along the way, written completely in first person.

# Graves

The grave system allows players to have protection over their items even upon death.

So you died. First of all, breathe. On the survival server, we have a grave system that saves your items, in the exact slots you had them in, inside of a grave with a copy of your playerhead in its place. Your death coordinates will be posted for you to see in chat. Head back that way and break the grave. Your items will be returned to you in the slots you had them in. If you picked up items along the way, some items may drop on the floor as they can't be returned in the slots.\
\
If you died in claimed land and can't break your grave, don't panic. Simply stand within 10 blocks and type `/claimgrave`. If you lost your grave or it got buried in chat, type `/graves` and the location of any of your graves will be revealed to you. If by chance this doesn't work, make a ticket in discord. Be careful; this isn't a foolproof system. Your grave will automatically break after 24 hours and the items will spill out onto the ground, pursuant to the vanilla despawn timer.\
\
You can only make 10 graves until your oldest graves start breaking. Another quirk is that if you die in the exact same spot over and over, your graves can stack absurdly high. You may think this system is a bit non-vanilla and I hear you, but it was brought about by community input and has been a great addition to our server.

# Referrals

The referral system, developed by Skullian.

When you refer a player to the SMP, cash in your reward! Here's how it goes:

* On the SMP, use the command `/referral create`. Click on your code to copy it.
* Send the code to your friend, either in-game with `/pm <player>` or externally.
* Have your friend run this command: `/referral redeem <your code goes here>`
* You and your friend have both earned $5,000! You can check your referral codes with `/referral list`.

Do keep in mind that these referral codes are currently on the SMP only, referral codes for other servers are coming soon.

# District Court

An overview of our proprietary Torrent Court System. We have had several criminal and civil proceedings take place on this server.

## Initiating a Court Proceeding

The Torrent District Court is located on the Survival server in the Municipal District, right next to the Axél Village warp. There are many reasons why a court proceeding may take place, and criminal charges or civil liabilities can occur on any server. The primary reason for the Court is just for fun. Sometimes, a more engaging story can come from going to court instead of a moderator banning the offender.\
\
If a player commits some kind of crime or tortious interference, you can initiate a court proceeding by contacting a moderator. When that occurs, if the Torrent District Attorney feels that criminal charges are worth pursuing, a criminal court proceeding could take place. In that case, a judge will be chosen, and the case will start relatively soon after. If the case goes to trial, a trial date will be announced in Discord and a jury will be chosen.\
\
If a civil case is brought against a player, a judge will be chosen, and the case will proceed with just the two parties and any spectators that want to join. The judge will hear both sides' arguments and be impartial in the case.

<figure><img src="/files/n3Uh51vU46djTkzxC2J4" alt=""><figcaption><p>Torrent District Court</p></figcaption></figure>

## Reasons for Court Proceedings

#### Civil Cases:

A player accused a moderator of killing him for no reason on Survival, where PvP requires consent. The case went to trial and the plaintiff won the case. The moderator was forced to pay the player in money and in-game items, and was placed on probation. If the moderator were to reoffend, he would lose his mod status (which he eventually did.)

#### Criminal Cases:

1. A player was accused of hacking when the anti-cheat was temporarily removed for maintenance. The player argued his case, provided screenshots, and other evidence of his innocence. The correspondence between him and his friend was in Danish, so the prosecution had a translator to make testimony on record. The defendant won the case, and was acquitted of all charges.
2. A player joined the network and was accused by an anonymous witness that he and his friend conspired in VC to grief and destroy the server, by gaining the trust of the administrators. Three separate trial dates occurred, and a ton of shenanigans took place. Ultimately, the prosecution felt there was not enough evidence to continue and dropped the charges.

<figure><img src="/files/AOscpVGEfjuYGPxMDDki" alt=""><figcaption><p>Court Proceeding taking place, featuring Michael the Divine Pig of Justice (bottom right)</p></figcaption></figure>

# Dungeons and Taverns

A description of the Dungeons and Taverns datapack. Thanks OcularFool68!

This datapack alone offers so much for the server and player base to explore. This feature adds 100 new structures across all dimensions including new structures and trials in the End and Nether. Also, this datapack expands on the new Tricky Trials Update, including boss mobs and a dozen different Trial Chambers with exclusive Keys specific to each different trial. Examples include the Trident Boss Trial Key and The End Castle Trial Key to name a few. This data packs adds vanilla-like structures that are supposed to blend in with the rest of the game and feel like they belong there.

Going from environmental additions like Fire Watch Towers and Taverns to Dungeons, like the Badland Miner Outpost and Illager Hideout. You can view photos of the structures [here](https://modrinth.com/datapack/dungeons-and-taverns/gallery).

## Structures

● Villages of every biome&#x20;

● Stray Fort&#x20;

● The Undead Crypts&#x20;

● Fire Watch Tower (all 7 overworld wood types)&#x20;

● Conduit Ruins (its function is to teach player how to build conduits)&#x20;

● Mangrove Witch Hut (3 versions with slightly better loot)&#x20;

● Ruined Towns (a zombie infested ruin)&#x20;

● Taverns (a villager tavern to stumble upon during your travels one of every biome type)&#x20;

● Underground House (Terraria reference)&#x20;

● Badland Miner Outpost (an illager outpost in the badlands for their mining operations)&#x20;

● Illager Hideout (a hidden dungeon underground)&#x20;

● Illager Camp (small camps made by illagers on their travels)&#x20;

● Wild Ruins (a collection of different single structure ruins like a house, ruins of a house or a dead redstone golem)&#x20;

● Wells (for jungle, birch, forest, plains, taiga, and savannah. Basically the desert well but for other biomes)&#x20;

● Lost Bunkers (small structures with a small underground bunker)&#x20;

## Enchantments

This datapack also adds 12 new enchantments:

* Wax Wings - Elytra enchantment that ensures durability is not consumed while gliding slowly
* Gravity - Crossbow Enchantment that pulls any Entity close to arrow impact, including yourself, up to 3 levels
* Outreach - Chestplate Enchantment that makes you able to interact with blocks from further away
* Power Crossbow - Power for your Crossbow – Works just like on the Bow
* Piercing Bow - Piercing for your Bow – Works just like on the Crossbow
* Multishot Bow - Multishot for your Bow – Works just like on the Crossbow
* Ghasted - Shoots exploding arrows with the strengh of a ghast's fireball
* Wither Coated - Weapon enchantment that has the chance to apply the wither effect, but halves the tool's durability. Mutually exclusive with fire aspect
* Photosynthesis - Armor and tools enchantment that slowly regenerates durability while exposed to sunlight. It works if worn by armor stands. Mutually exclusive with mending
* Traveler - Boots enchantment that makes you slightly faster while sprinting and increases your step height, so you can walk up 1 block high slopes like a horse
* Antitoxin - Chestplate enchantment that makes you immune to any poison damage, not even flinching, but it damages your chestplate instead. Mutually exclusive with all protection enchantments: Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection, and Protection.
* Illagers Bane - Deals additional damage to Illagers; similar to and mutually exclusive with Smite, Sharpness, and Bane of Arthropods”

## How to Find Them

To find these structures and new enchantments, find new 1.21 chunks in the world. These new chunks have a chance to spawn these structures just like normal structure generation.

Note: This datapack is currently added to Survival, but this will be added to Lifesteal once we update to 1.21.

# Introduction

The introductory guide to the Lifesteal gamemode.

Lifesteal is a gamemode in which every time you die, you lose a heart. Like normal, you start with 10 hearts. However, if you manage to kill another player, you "steal" their lifeforce, taking their heart and adding it to yours. Thus, the name Lifesteal. The goal of this server is to become the most powerful player on the server. There are several ways to farm hearts, including standing near spawn and waiting for players to cross the PvP threshold. Once they cross that threshold, it's game on. Another way people farm hearts is with TPA request traps. Send a TPA request to a player and catch them off guard when they accept it.

When you die too many times and lose your final heart, you will be eliminated. The ban only lasts a day.

However, killing players is not the only way to farm hearts. You can also craft them, or earn them by completing our custom questlines.

<figure><img src="/files/uJfegv181e1Ro7iKu9ZC" alt=""><figcaption><p>Heart Item</p></figcaption></figure>

Say your buddy dies on the server for the final time and loses his last heart. He would at that point be DEATH BANNED! Fret not, however. You can revive him with the mythical revive crystal:

<figure><img src="/files/owYT1m5lIdItT2Nhr36v" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The revive crystal is insanely expensive of course, but it's always good to have in your back pocket. When you are revived, you will respawn with 5 hearts.

# PvP

An explanation of the PvP mechanics on Torrent Lifesteal.

## Safezone

There is a red square around spawn that separates the safezone from the rest of the hellscape that is Torrent Lifesteal. Cross the red concrete boundary at your own peril. You can run back and forth between the safezone and the PvP area with no issue, but if you enter combat you will not be able to return until combat has ended. You cannot return by walking, with commands, or any other way of attempting to run back to the safezone with your tail between your legs.

<figure><img src="/files/gpPuHV4JMdINcC4xauJT" alt=""><figcaption><p>Safezone</p></figcaption></figure>

## Combat Tag

When you enter combat, you will be combat tagged. The combat tag timer is 30 seconds. During that time, you will not be able to return to the safezone or use commands. If you logout while combat tagged, you will be sentenced to death instantly. You will notice your scoreboard change while combat tagged, with information about your attacker(s) as well as how long you are tagged for. This will also be displayed as a boss bar. This is also how long you will be unable to run commands or return to spawn.

<figure><img src="/files/bAlXvq7nwr2umPOshpGy" alt=""><figcaption><p>Combat Tagging</p></figcaption></figure>

## King of the Hill

Every two hours, King of the Hill will start near spawn. Head North from spawn, turn left at the fork and go up the stairs to the crashed meteor. The player in the red square for the longest is declared the winner. One needs to remain within the KoTH square until at least the last 15 seconds of KoTH to win.

Note: This isn't some kind of special mini-game where KeepInventory is on. You can still lose hearts and items. That's the risk you are taking.

<figure><img src="/files/SrUVDIMv2iiksxDpYa6s" alt=""><figcaption><p>King of the Hill</p></figcaption></figure>

## Bounties

By using `/bounty`, it will open up a menu where you can view the current bounties, or set your own bounties on a player. You may want to set a bounty on a player who has wronged you in some way, or someone who is overly powerful and needs to be taken down a peg. The player who kills the player with a bounty on him will receive the bounty amount in full.

Bounties are viewable in the `/bounty` menu as well as on the bounty board at spawn. This board will automatically update when a new bounty is added, and they are ranked from left to right by order of the bounty amount.

## Crystal PvP

<figure><img src="/files/QSYtTiweVQhmxiMvP8Q3" alt=""><figcaption><p>Crystal PvP Arena</p></figcaption></figure>

Some people are crystal PvP sweats, and some people hate it with a passion. We respect both parties equally. That is why we created a crystal PvP arena for you to enjoy to your hearts content. The warp is `/warp cpvp` or you can take the CPvP teleportation array at spawn. Jump in the hole and blow each other up to your heart's content. Be warned, there is NO KeepInventory, so it may be difficult to escape once you jump in and get combat tagged. We do not provide support for skill issues.

## Other Metas

Many other PvP metas may become useful over time, or be discovered by the player base. These includes advanced [enchantments](/lifesteal/enchanting), MMO [skills](/skills), [teaming](/lifesteal/teams), TPA trapping, and many more. You can use any tools at your disposal to defeat other players. Finding custom items through questing may also prove fruitful. Get creative and discover the new Torrent Lifesteal meta yourself!

# Teams

On Lifesteal, you can create or join a team, communicate in team chat, and will be protected from team-killing.

A team, as the name implies, is a group of players collaborating with each other. There are team leaderboards to show which team is the most powerful. Writing a question mark (?) before your message only sends your message in team chat. Check the [commands](/commands) page for team-related commands. A team can be allied with each another team, or can be mortal enemies. You cannot kill other players in your team, but can leave or disband the team at any time.\
\
To create a team, type `/team create <name>` and invite a player with `/team invite <player>`\
\
Teams allow you to join forces with other players to get to the top of the leaderboard, for a chance to win team-related prizes and team PvP events. Be careful! You never know when one of your team members will betray you by gaining your trust. Always keep your head on a swivel on the Lifesteal server. It's the ones you trust the most that will stab you in the back.

# Economy

There are several ways to make money, as well as multiple forms of currency. Explore them to become the most OP. Special thanks to Kishku7 for helping with this page!

## Shop

Our shop system allows Torrent Lifesteal players to buy and sell items to the server. We have disabled transactions involving potions, enchantments and spawners. The prices for items are similar or exactly the same as used on the Torrent SMP server.

Player Commands:&#x20;

`/shop` - Open the Shop GUI, allowing you to navigate the sectional categories. It also allows you to open the GUI directly to a specific section, such as `/shop redstone`

`/sellall` - Allows you to sell all of a given item in your inventory, such as `/sellall cobblestone`.&#x20;

`/sellall hand` - Sell all the items in your current hand (hotbar highlighted)

`/sellgui` - Opens an empty inventory where you can drop items to sell. Closing the GUI completes the transaction. Any items that could not be sold are automatically given back.

### Custom Item Shop

The aliens have brought some gear from Artoria to gear up some Ancient Builders to help them with their cause. You can find this in the Shop at Spawn. The Custom Item Shop has a gem exchange for OP items, as well as the legendary Neotech Weapon Set and the Universal Pickaxes.

<figure><img src="/files/xHxTSiXbk7SHfSRPioHs" alt=""><figcaption><p>Custom Item Shop and General Shop</p></figcaption></figure>

## Heart Shop

Located next to the General Store, the Heart Shop is a location where you can buy boosters and other items with hearts straight from your health bar. By clicking on the NPC, it will open up a GUI with a few upgrades:

* Soul Affinity XP Boosters: Starting at 2 hearts for a 25% boost, up to double XP.
* Reset Honor: 5 hearts; allows you to absolve yourself of all sins and good deeds, resetting your honor to 0.
* Magic Dust Bundle: 1 heart; comes with 1 magic dust of random chance for each enchanting tier except Unique.
* Stattrak: 5 hearts; gives you an item that when applied to a weapon, starts tracking kills in the item lore.
* Blocktrak: 5 hearts; gives you an item that when applied to a tool, starts tracking blocks mined in the item lore.
* Gem: 10 hearts; a custom currency item with a wide range of uses. Can be used to buy custom items in the Neotech shop, and traded as a rare currency.

<figure><img src="/files/glnayEOYIBhL05omHLT6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Heart Shop</p></figcaption></figure>

## AFK Room

Torrent Lifesteal has an AFK room that rewards you for being AFK in a designated area in spawn. Your rewards can include in-game money as well as crate keys allowing you to unlock epic rewards. There are no player commands to take advantage of the AFK room, and you'll receive an in-game title when you enter this area. Check out [crates](/lifesteal/crates) for information about the AFK crate itself.

<figure><img src="/files/Sm3JG8KWruR7pD9CRaSl" alt=""><figcaption><p>AFK Room</p></figcaption></figure>

## Auction House

Allows you to list items for sale to other players. You can bring up the GUI interface by typing /ah

Player Commands:&#x20;

`/ah search`&#x20;

`/ah sell` - Sell the item currently selected in your hand /ah selling - List the items you are currently selling.&#x20;

`/ah sold` - View the items you have sold recently.

`/ah expired` - View items that have expired.&#x20;

`/ah cancel` - Cancel ALL your auctions.&#x20;

`/ah return` - Drop all your cancelled and expired items to you.

## Bank Notes

The lifesteal server has certain rewards found on bosses and in chests that give you a bank note. Its worth is stated on the item. You can "use" the note to deposit the money into your `/money` account, or you can exchange/drop it to other players such as team members, or an MVP in a fight.

Player Commands:&#x20;

`/withdraw <amount>` - Allows you to create a bank note in the form of an item you can exchange or use. The minimum amount is $10.&#x20;

To deposit the bank note, right-click the currently held banknote or tap-hold on mobile devices.

## Kits

Torrent Lifesteal provides kits! An NPC at spawn will provide you with at least one kit every 60 minutes (starter kit.) The kit includes a full diamond armor set and weapon/toolset. You are also provided some golden apples and food. Everything you need to avoid or bypass spawn campers and get out into the wild!

You may go back to `/spawn` and obtain a new kit, even if your current kit is fully intact, allowing you to save up a few backup sets for PvP carnage. Tactical use of the kits can make a major difference in keeping you alive, use them wisely! While you're at `/spawn`, spend some time in the AFK Pit to earn rewards, or participate in the nearby King of the Hill competition.

## XP Bottles

You may store your experience for later use, trade it, or sell it on the auction house!

Player Commands:

`/xp` - Shows how much XP you have, your level, and how much more you need to level up.

`/xpbottle <amount>` - Withdraw your XP into an XP bottle to save for later. This is a great idea if you're about to get into a fight and you don't want to lose your XP when you die.

# Fishing

An explanation of our custom fishing system.

On this server, you can catch custom fish with any fishing rod! The fish rank from common to legendary, and each tier gives a set of rewards. Either by catching normal fish or custom fish, you can get vanilla XP and [Soul Affinity](/lore/soul-affinity) XP. As the fish quality goes up, so does the XP you earn. Legendary fish can even net you our custom gem item, which you can spend in the [Neotech Shop](/lifesteal/economy#neotech-shop).

<figure><img src="/files/1KggNvJAO4vhHczSABsM" alt=""><figcaption><p>Legendary Fish</p></figcaption></figure>

When you catch some good fish, make sure to sell them at the Fisherman NPC near the ports at Spawn. Fishing is a good money-maker!

# Quests

A description of the questline on Lifesteal

On Lifesteal Season 2, the story takes place in the Old West. During this time, a rogue alien spacecraft has arrived on Torrent and crash landed at spawn. It is your job to determine what to do with the aliens, whether you help them or sabotage them. This questline affects your honor level significantly, and cannot be repeated.

# Cowboys Vs. Aliens

A short quest in which you help Tenpenny repair the alien engine and retrieve their chief engineer from the gem mine.

<figure><img src="/files/ocodiYWZuMtxL210UHE9" alt=""><figcaption><p>Tenpenny</p></figcaption></figure>

Tenpenny is directly in front of you, down the stairs from spawn. By clicking on her, you will initiate dialogue and start the quest. She will inform you that their spacecraft has crash landed on this planet, and their engine has malfunctioned. You will need to bring her 64 redstone to repair the engine. You can easily by this from `/shop` or mine for it.

Your next quest stage is to retrieve their Chief Engineer, Voxel, who was trapped in the gem mine. If you're looking at Tenpenny, turn directly right and go into the cave.

{% hint style="danger" %}
PvP is ON in the gem mine!
{% endhint %}

When you get to the bottom of the mine, turn right and go into a cave. This cave has a staircase to the left that leads to an excavation site.

<figure><img src="/files/2CXjW66tLSS8BxeckgSl" alt=""><figcaption><p>Voxel</p></figcaption></figure>

You can find Voxel at coordinates X: -10 | Y: 46 | Z: 182\
On the adjacent wall, you can flip the lever to free him.

<figure><img src="/files/BJS7RUbXJNei8GfCUmQl" alt=""><figcaption><p>Excavator Release Lever</p></figcaption></figure>

Return to Tenpenny. Tenpenny will thank you for releasing Voxel and give you rewards. However, they still have unfinished business, and their craft is still missing components. First, she will inform you that the outlaws have been harassing her kind. She will ask you to kill three players to thin their numbers. Do so and return to Tenpenny to complete the quest.

# Ancient Builders

Meet Dr. Mari Curian, an archaeologist studying ancient civilizations and artifacts in the library at spawn.

Go inside the library at spawn, and you will find an archaeologist reading a book, Dr. Mari Curian.

<figure><img src="/files/H130E29nmj404hEiZHk2" alt=""><figcaption><p>Mari Curian</p></figcaption></figure>

Mari Curian will tell you of her research into the Ancient Builders and the civilizations of the past. She will need you to collect samples from an Ancient City. Finding the City is on you, but there are several nearby spawn, such as at X: 191 | Y: -34 | Z: 928

Walk up to the portal frame in the center and click on any of the blocks to collect the samples.

<figure><img src="/files/kKWU2v2mQOBClRcpQYtA" alt=""><figcaption><p>Deepslate Portal</p></figcaption></figure>

Return to Mari Curian. She will ask you to locate her compatriot, Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu in a trial chamber. She is located at X: -854 | Y: -26 | Z: 68. Click on her to complete the quest and start [The Trial](/lifesteal/quests/the-trial).

# The Trial

Discover the secrets of the aliens and the ancient builders.

This quest is much more complex than any quests you have done so far. This is our first branching quests, meaning you have choices that affect the outcome at the end of the quest.

<figure><img src="/files/ma9EVq1k3ZraCXtS32Gl" alt=""><figcaption><p>Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu</p></figcaption></figure>

After meeting Dr. Wu, she will ramble about the Ancient Builders and ask you for an ominous key. You can find one by completing trials in the same chamber the research lab is in. Bring one back to her to complete this stage.

Next, this is where the quest diverges into branches. Dr. Wu will ask you for a heavy core, and explain that her goal is to sabotage the spacecraft's engine so the portal closes behind the aliens when the leave the planet. Optionally, you can also bring this heavy core to Tenpenny, and inform her about Dr. Wu's sabotage attempt.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This will raise your honor level by 25 points!
{% endhint %}

### Dr. Wu's Branch

If you bring the heavy core back to Dr. Wu, she will ask you to wait one day so she can reprogram the heavy core. Wait a day and return to complete this stage.

She will give you the heavy core back and ask you to install it in the spacecraft's engine. To get to the spacecraft, you can use an elytra or bridge over to it from outside the no-build area. Go inside the spacecraft by entering the exterior door on the deck. The engine is on the right side by the craft's main bridge.

<figure><img src="/files/h8GqKryJR8GmgJC2xpYF" alt=""><figcaption><p>Spacecraft Engine</p></figcaption></figure>

Click on the observer with the heavy core in your hand. This will hack the engine to execute Dr. Wu's plan. Instantly, you will be teleported by the Ancient Builders.

The location you are teleported to is a latent asteroid in the End. Simply walk forward and touch the conduit to complete the stage. Then, you will be contacted by the Ancient Builders. I shall not spoil their dialogue. Listen to them speak to complete the quest.

### Tenpenny Branch

By returning to Tenpenny with the heavy core, you will inform her of Dr. Wu's sabotage attempt. Tenpenny will give you the heavy core back immediately, easily reprogramming the artifact with their advanced alien technology. You will then be tasked with returning to Dr. Wu and attempting to deceive her. By returning the heavy core to her, she will connect it to her machines, thereby installing malware.

Dr. Wu will become enraged, discovering your attempt to deceive her. She will summon her defenses: three wither skeletons of varying strength. Defeat the wither skeletons and return to Tenpenny. This completes the quest.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This will lower your honor level by 25 points!
{% endhint %}

# Enchanting

An explanation of the expanded enchantment system on Torrent Lifesteal.

By using the Enchanter NPC at spawn, you can purchase enchantments for your tools/armor using XP. This is a great way to spend XP you've gotten from crates or from killing bosses. These enchants are more unique and powerful than the default enchantments you get from enchantment tables or default Minecraft enchanted books. Click the enchantment to roll for a book. Then, drag the enchanted book and click your item in your inventory to attempt to apply the enchantment.

You can also gain custom enchantments from the Vanilla enchantment table, which has a 45% chance of having one of the enchantments in the [table](#enchantments-list).

## Enchanter

<figure><img src="/files/xKbMOaUVqsfkHTph5wZk" alt=""><figcaption><p>Enchanter NPC</p></figcaption></figure>

To buy an enchantment, click on the Enchanter NPC at Spawn and purchase the enchantment from the UI. They are tiered from Simple to Legendary. Apply the enchantment to your gear by dragging the enchantment onto it in your inventory. **Be warned**; enchantments have probabilities of success or failure!!\
\
You can apply a total of 5 slots of custom enchants to your items. To increase these slots, you can use a **Slot Increaser**, which you can only get from crates and the gem shop.

<figure><img src="/files/dDETslLzVukvtMDOb0My" alt=""><figcaption><p>Enchanter UI</p></figcaption></figure>

## Tinker

By clicking on the Enchanter NPC at spawn, you can open a tinker menu to tinker your gear with custom enchants. Put your item in the left side, and the Tinker can remove custom enchants and give you books or materials.

<figure><img src="/files/rKyxJX9LDy3E3yF5ZUpN" alt=""><figcaption><p>Tinker UI</p></figcaption></figure>

## Alchemist

The Alchemist will exchange the following:

* 2x enchantment books of the same type and level = 1x enchantment book of higher level
* 2x magic dust of same rarity = 1x magic dust of higher chances

<figure><img src="/files/KRFBx15TKbpAwDWVYsx1" alt=""><figcaption><p>Alchemy UI</p></figcaption></figure>

## Other Enchanting Items

### Slot Increaser

Normally, you can only add 5 custom enchantments to an item. However, each slot increaser will add +1 slot to your item, up to 5 additional custom enchant slots.

### Black Scroll

# Honor System

The custom coded honor system on Torrent Lifesteal.

## Reporting

You can report players' deeds on the server by using `/report <player>`. You will see their honor level, expressed as an integer, as well as a percentage value. Every player starts at 0 honor, and if you report them for bad deeds, their honor goes into the negatives. If you report them for good deeds, their honor rises. There is a minimum honor level of -100 and a maximum of 100.

When you report players, you will be able to select the type of good or bad deed they did. Upon each report, the honor goes up or down 1 integer and half a percentage. You can see your honor level on the scoreboard. This is a way to build your reputation on the server. Will you be an outlaw, or a bounty hunter?

{% hint style="warning" %}
There is a 1 day cooldown between reports to prevent abuse. Using the reporting feature as a way to "witch hunt" other players is not allowed, and will have your permission to use the feature removed.
{% endhint %}

# Quests

A description of the Lifesteal specific Quests, detailing the journey of the return of the Artorian aliens.

So far, we have one major quest to start the server, with more coming in consistent content releases in the future.

## Cowboys Vs. Aliens

Right in front of you at spawn, you will meet the NPC Tenpenny. She is an Artorian alien stranded here on this planet after the Artorian spacecraft crash landed, disabling their engine from the components of Torrent's atmosphere.

<figure><img src="/files/3b3R0lwGZLpEuVlW7rCL" alt=""><figcaption><p>NPC Tenpenny</p></figcaption></figure>

Click on Tenpenny to start the quest. She will ask you for 64 redstone dust to begin repairs on the spacecraft's engine. Get it and return to her with it. She will then send you to find their chief engineer, Voxel. Voxel became trapped in the gem mine after accidentally triggering the power switch to an excavator, locking the emergency doors behind him.

You can find Voxel down the mine, to the left down a corridor, and up a set of wooden stairs.

<figure><img src="/files/jmUZlZMMX1iaCWQGmHur" alt=""><figcaption><p>NPC Voxel</p></figcaption></figure>

Voxel will beg you to let him out. Hit the switch on the adjacent wall to turn off the excavators emergency locking mechanism.

<figure><img src="/files/Co7dcfpNvcrKrPTjwNsw" alt=""><figcaption><p>Excavator Switch</p></figcaption></figure>

Return to Tenpenny to claim your rewards. She will inform you that the outlaws have caused the aliens a lot of trouble, and ask you to kill three of them. The only outlaws you are aware of are other players, so get down with some PvP! After killing three players, return to Tenpenny to complete the quest Cowboys Vs. Aliens.

# Creative Plots

The guide to claiming plots, setting flags, and what world to build in.

{% hint style="warning" %}
You can get more plots with voting or by purchasing a plot in our [webstore](https://torrent.tebex.io).
{% endhint %}

## Claiming a Plot

To claim a plot on this server, simply fly away from spawn and find a plot that is unclaimed. You can tell it's unclaimed because no title will pop up on screen. Then type `/plot claim`. It is worth noting these plots are 75x75, and you can claim one for free. For plots, or to claim a larger plot, you can buy upgrades in the [Torrent Webstore](https://torrent.tebex.io/category/creative-plots). There are three worlds total:

* Artoria - The default 75x75 plot world. Usage -> `/standard`

<figure><img src="/files/Li0DMS3A5Jh3WkEwOL60" alt=""><figcaption><p>Artoria</p></figcaption></figure>

* Dorian - The medium sized 150x150 plot world. You must purchase a plot upgrade to claim a plot here. Usage -> `/deluxe`&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/W0FouAX2ieIWlllcvwrY" alt=""><figcaption><p>Dorian</p></figcaption></figure>

* Radioth - The large-sized 300x300 plot world; this is often used for building events. You must purchase a plot upgrade to claim a plot here. Usage -> `/premium`&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/IVzoQc3ISpb4RPp0icdf" alt=""><figcaption><p>Radioth</p></figcaption></figure>

## Flags

You can set a flag in your plot using the following command: `/plot flag set <flag> <value>`

<figure><img src="/files/j48tSJKJwGDlHf1mDCXS" alt=""><figcaption><p>The plot flag help menu</p></figcaption></figure>

The server will launch with a custom resource pack and will be packed with features beyond your imagination!

This gamemode is an elegant synthesis of the popular gamemodes Skyblock and Factions. Lovers of either of those gamemodes will find the features they know and love, seamlessly integrated together.

## Features

* A high performance skyblock implementation
* The ability to create and join powerful factions
* High quality defenses that can defend your island in your stead
* Advanced raid mechanics for players and factions
* Custom unique currencies called Gems and Runes
* An island administration tool known as an "Obelisk"
* Tiered combat system similar to skill-based matchmaking
* Leaderboards, reward systems, and skyblock quest mechanics
* Much, much more!

# Islands

Creating an island is as simple as running a single command.

From the SkyFactions Hub, you can easily create your island by clicking the Island Creator NPC or by typing `/island create`. A menu will pull up asking you to confirm the creation of your island; click yes.

From there, you will instantly teleport to your island. In front of you, you will see the Obelisk, a custom administration node for your island. More on that later in these docs. To delete your island, type `/island delete` and then `/island delete confirm`. This action cannot be undone.

To trust a friend to visit your island, type `/island trust <player>` and they can visit it with `/island visit <player>`. They will not be able to break blocks or access containers on your island. To collaborate on an island together, you need to start or join a faction.

If you screw up the cobblestone generator, or make some other mistake along the way that cripples your progress, worry not! There are many ways to advance your island and get the items you need. You can trade with other players, complete quests, gather those items on a faction island, or purchase crate keys. The sky world is your oyster!
